Wendy Gillett, Chesham Way, Hamilton Hill
Designed by local architect, Tom Leeman, Wendy’s house is a stylish and contemporary dwelling drawing on a classic combination of materials - wood, limestone, concrete and steel cladding.
This modest two-bedroom home was hand crafted with love from both Sam and Wendy. Wendy choosing unique and luxurious materials including the contemporary cladding to the exterior. Interiors are warm and inviting with natural wood features and flooring throughout. The bathroom features a luxury bath reminiscent of a European wet room with floor to ceiling Moroccan tiling. Bespoke features include stonemasonry to exterior spaces along with hand crafted timber fencing. A smart and simple design has created a functional, comfortable and unique home.
Leith Maddock, Birbeck Way, Spearwood
A timber clad dwelling, farmhouse in spirit but contemporary in style. Leith’s house is a beautiful example of good design and bespoke carpentry features. Architecturally designed and thoughtfully composed, Leith and Sam worked together to create special touches to this home including timber clad ceilings and recycled jarrah floors.
Situated on a rear block this small and stylish home punches above its weight in terms of precise details and finishes.
Perth Montessori School
The creation of a new, outdoor learning space at the Perth Montessori School involved timber constructed decks, limestone walls and hard landscaping. Feature trees were planted and soft areas for group learning were created. 345 Carpentry and Design worked with the School to execute the vision – providing relaxed and nature based learning spaces.
Tony Borthwick, Dianne St. Hamilton Hill
Situated on a large block in a quiet setting, two homes of matching design were constructed for brother and sister Tony and Jane. Designed by architect Tom Leeman, the homes are timber constructed with shadow clad exteriors in natural finish. Timber floors and features throughout the two-bedroom dwellings which sit alongside each other, complementing but not overcrowding one another. My house isn’t exactly as I imagined it, it’s better. Sam’s ideas, aesthetic and attention to detail was a great complement to my skills and together we delivered an amazing result.
